In the hearth of Alentejo, Évora was considered, in 1986, UNESCO World Heritage.
Évora’s old town is inside a medieval wall with several entrance doors.
It is a city museum and in XVI century was a king’s residence.
The roman temple, the Gothic cathedral and the Bone’s chapel are the Evora’s highest points.
Before returning home we can make a small detour to visit Reguengos de Monsaraz. A small and old village with 38 habitants, located inside a castle. Its landscape changed after the construction of Dam’s Alqueva. You will be surprised with this unique place.
Half way between Évora and Reguengos de Monsaraz there is an experience waiting for us, a wine taste in one of the best known celeries called Herdade do Esporão.
